Description

This unit will describe and enable pupils to experience different types of training before analysing which ones are most suited to different types of sporting performers.

Pupils will continue to develop their understanding of different ways to train for improved everyday health and/ or sporting performance. From the earlier physical training units pupils will understand the components of fitness that should be prioritised for different sports and/ or playing positions to inform which types of training are most relevant and beneficial. Later in physical training they will consider injuries and injury prevention as well as performance enhancing drugs.
